As we were walking up the road and got to the area my buddy’s gobbler hung out, I pulled out the custom long box I'd purchased from Lee Chadwick, and sure enough, the gobbler was right down in there where my buddy hoped he’d be. And he gobbled right back at the first yelp. I hit the long box call a second time just to make sure he was serious about playing with us. After he gobbled at me the second time, we slipped into the woods to set up and see if he would act any different today than he did on previous days. There is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't NOT have gotten either of my birds had it not been for that call of yours.
Well, we got set up, in a good spot, and I hit Lee's long box again. He gobbled. I hit it again. And he double gobbled at me. Sweet!! I love it when they do that. So, I hit my box call again and he cut me off. I figured that gobbler was going to come on up to us. I kept yelping on the long box and the gobbler kept cutting me off. He really liked the sound of Lee's long box today.
I switched up calls, and tried a couple different mouth calls, but the bird really wanted to hear the long box.
So, we moved up to the property line and laterally just a bit to give the gobbler the impression that the hen was moving slightly his way. I gave him a nice yelp with the long box so he’d know where we were, he gobbled back hard at me. I immediately cut off the end of his gobble with another yelp from Lee's long box, and then shut up.
I went about 30 yards further and hit the long box, and he cut me off – and it sounded like he was RIGHT ON TOP of my buddy!! Hot dawg!! I waited for the shot. I was almost holding my breath…
Then he gobbled again – much closer!! He kept coming. I waited till he got within twenty yards – a little close than I intended, but he was partially obscured by a couple pine trees – and as he stepped out into the clear, came out of strut and stretched his head up looking for the hen – BOOM!!!. The first one, hung up.. I threw all my customs at him... XXXXX XXXX aluminum, XXX XXXXX Physchadelic Hen, XXX’x "XXXXX XXXXX"... He'd gobble, but still hung up...
I pulled out that call of Jamie's, cutt on it and BROKE HIM.. *LOL* came in on a string!
Same with the last one... he hung up... I had to move on him.... No lie, I grabbed your call only (the one I had most confidence in) my shotgun and thermacell, made the move and 4 minutes later he was on the ground... He heard that nasty raspy and had to have some!

Went on a wood duck hunt this morning with a couple buddies and used my woodie call from Misfiregamecalls for the first time and it was over in 15 minutes.They came pouring in on us and I had to call some away from a neighboring water hole with this call.
